Big joy, little cost. – I bought these for grandkids and great nieces and nephews. After they were delivered to me I divided them up and mailed them to the appropriate states. Happily not one was broken though mailed twice, I’m no professional packer, and every child loved their recorder, from the oldest 22 yrs, to the youngest 5 yrs. My oldest grandson (19yrs) learned a familiar tune and played it for me the first day. I got to mail big joy to many children for very little cost. Every grandmother’s dream.❤️

Pretty Good – I do not play the recorder so I didn’t know how to blow. However, I do play the flute and understand the need to blow properly. Once I figures out the right way I found the sound was expectable. With no knowledge I was able to figure out hot cross buns and the notes were clear and good enough not to bother my perfect pitch ears. I think its a good recorder for learners.

these are IMPOSSIBLE to play. – Can’t adjust the right pinky hole. Pinky can reach the last hole without messing up the ability for your other fingers to stay on their holes.

You get what you pay for – These recorders are cheap, and that’s all they have going for them. The are inconsistent, out of tune, poorly built, and sound terrible. On a set of 12, it would be well worth the extra $30-70 to get high quality Yamaha recorders from here or your local music story. The YRS-20 series is excellent and comes in an array of colors. If you need bulk recorders on a budget, however, this deal can’t be beaten.

Good recorders for cheap – I wanted cheap recorders because I had quite a few students. These were cheap. They came quickly. Each one comes with its own plastic sleeve & a rod for cleaning. They sound like cheap plastic toys but they play the notes well enough to be able to recognize what is being played. These are good for just teaching the basics. The students were told they could purchase their own recorder if they wanted a better sound but these worked fine for learning a few basic songs. You do get what you pay for though; if you want something that looks nicer and/or sounds more musical, you will need to look elsewhere & pay more than what these cost, but these are great for the price.
