Seems quality – Seems like a decent drum although I don’t know much about them. It came with stickers to label, but no instructions on how to label.

Ripe for Modification – Plan to get a hang drum eventually, but this will tide me over. Main reason I chose this drum was its E bass note. With filing down two tongues, I was able to get this into an E minor scale (very common scale for guitar). I will say, it was tougher than I had anticipated to file it down; this is hardened steel after all, I suppose. If you choose to do this, I recommend making the tops curved instead of straight across like I did. The lower F# doesn’t ring out unless hit off center. Not a huge deal, but you can learn from my experience. I used a carbon fiber dremel cutting wheel and a set of small files. Be aware, if they’re cheap-o files, it’ll be pretty rough on them, dulling them significantly.
