    I received plastic parts for a six string guitar. – This item is fulfilled by different suppliers. Mine was fulfilled by Morcolor Technogies who passed it along to Moton Technologies which sent the product(s) to me. Apparently by the time the order got to the 3rd company it somehow changed to plastic for a 6 stringer.

    wrong size bad string cuts – Did not fit my 12 string at all. Also the string cuts were all shallow and not cut for a 12 string. All the cuts were exact. So if this is the right nut for your 12 string, and you decide to purchase this, be advised you will have to modify it to work.
