My 4 year old granddaughter loves it!!! – My 4 year old granddaughter is having so much fun with this xylophone!

Some Assembly may be required – For the price I was disappointed that I needed to re-assemble parts of it. A better job of packaging this item to ensure it was fully assembled & not damaged during shipping would be beneficial to all.

note to self, buy ear plugs – The mallets are perfect for the childrens hand size, although they seem to enjoy beating each other about the head and face. I would discourage that as it does not produce the melodious tones the instrument exudes upon beating. Unsurprisingly they like to fight over this so I bought some drums and a little keyboard to accompany. The cacophony of sound has driven me to wearing headphones all day while they madly play. All in all I would highly recommend as children glued to the tube are far less interesting than the musically inclined.

Future Percussionist – My grandson wanted this. He loves playing. Asked why and he says Love the sound. We were watching DCI performances. He is 6 and is using both hands with the mallets. Only wish the mallets were better. Plastic and plastic curves. I’m fixing that with new mallets from Amazon

Mallets weak, very cheap – It came with some of the metal keys rattling around inside the instrument where they had come off during transportation from the warehouse or UPS. The blue mallets were weak and very bendable, and showed a whiteness to the plastic as though there had already been some tension applied to one of the mallets. I either had a very weak product and/or a very bad delivery! Either way very disappointed as this was a gift and not very gift-able the way it arrived.
