It is fun, and the kids love it. – I really didn’t know what to expect from this. Got it mainly for fun and because it said it is good for kids.

Sounds surprising well, musical toy – This is a musical toy, but can easily be used by anyone interested in making music for fun. It doesn’t have an output jack, but the included speaker can be subtle or turned up pretty loud. I’m not sure on the decibels but it gets pretty loud without any distortion. The size is about 4-5 inches long and is easy to grip due to its rubberized coating. Instructions are in sub par English, but it is easy to figure out. Booklet comes with 10 songs, but the fun is when you change instruments and create your own stuff. Pressing two keys simultaneously allows for access to lower octaves. It charges via a USB cable which is included and it uses the older style USB port, not the newer C. So be careful when plugging it in the right way. The led power indicated is bright enough to see through the rubberized coating. It’s not an 808, nor can it sync to other music, or allow for sequencing, but the drum option is fun while another plays a different instrument on something else. It is easy to hold even by my 8 year old. It’s thick plastic and it seems to be made very durable, doesn’t feel cheap. I think it makes a great gift and in the right hands with a recorder (not included) they could easily capture their music and do some amazing things with it, by looping, etc… Anyways a great little shaker style music maker.

    3. M. K (verified owner)

Fun small gift – My son was playing with and and make music very quickly. I love that it is rechargable. I hate replacing batteries. Its about the size of a computer mouse (or a little bigger) in your hand. The surface is soft and comfortable. Good for someone who needs a musical fidget toy. A child may also find it entertaining.

    4. L. R (verified owner)

Cute, entertaining but ultimately frustrating – If you give this strange musical toy/instrument to either an adult or a child, they will definitely enjoy playing with it… for a while. The sound quality isn’t great — what do you expect with the tiny speaker – but it’s okay. There is a choice of many instrument sounds, but most sound similar to each other or not like the actual instrument. The best is probably the piano sound. The device has four buttons on the side and one at the end. The buttons correspond with different notes, and you can play over an octave by pressing the buttons in various combinations. But it is hard to remember the combinations. It has a “repertoire practice” mode where it plays a song that you are then supposed to copy, but that is extremely challenging. It is undeniably fun to play with for a while – it fits comfortably in the hand and the different sounds – including a couple of drums – are entertaining to play with. It reminds me a bit of that toy from the 80’s called Simon where you would play back a tune that it played for you. Fun for a couple of hours, but not useful as a real musical instrument.

    5. C. R (verified owner)

Does not work correctly – Only works when plugged in. Wont charge or work without a cord. Not sure if this is just a fluke or faulty one but when I reached out to the company, no one ever responded back.

    6. B. G (verified owner)

Really neat but is not intuitive – Requires patience to learn. It is not an instrument that you can just pick up and start playing without reading the guide. Some of the instrument sounds are pretty realistic. It’s great for all ages, from kids to adults. It’s limited but great for playing around with that melody kicking around your head without running to the piano or grabbing your guitar. This toy both looks and feels somewhat similar to one of an adult nature, if you catch my drift which is curious. It’s small size makes it easy to travel with.

    7. I. C (verified owner)

You can be the Phantom of the Opera with this. – I like this thing. I do not fully know how to work it but I like it. OZ

Will not power on – After letting it charge overnight, it still will not power on…returning it…
