A quality instrument for a great price – This is my second Donner ukulele. I bought a traditional Tenor uke from Donner in 2020 and I liked it so much that I decided to go with Donner again for my banjo ukulele. The craftsmanship is really good, and the Remo head and Aquila strings were a nice surprise at this price level. There was a problem with one of the tuning keys on the one I received initially, and a replacement was sent the day after I let them know – I received the replacement in three days. The sound is good, the looks are excellent, and it was very playable as soon as I tuned it. If it’s anything like the other Donner I have, I will enjoy this for a long time to come. Well worth the price I paid for it, and I would recommend this to a friend.

If you want an inexpensive but useful banjolele … – Nicely package and shippped. I’ve been pleased with everything I’ve bought from Donner and this didn’t disappoint. Keep in mind this is an “affordable” banjolele — fretwork was good (minor sanding); tuning pegs seem adequate; bridge is good; tailpiece and hardware is all very clean and tidy. The only “untidy” piece was the backplate. I guess to keep the backplate from splitting, some of the screws are not properly set into the body. (I was just curious what it looked like and sounded with and without.)
