Okay for the flute – Although made in China, the instructions are good. I have used it now a few days, so maybe I will learn more however I was a little disappointed that using it to tune to pitch I find that the red light rarely comes on and the green stays on only a short while. It might be more sensitive, or less sensitive to the sound, but I am just saying. It is working for me though.

Good for most purposes – Works well on a bridge or guitar head, but won’t stay on a hammered dulcimer tuning pin well.

Compact Chromatic Tuner w/Bright LCD – I had a similar tuner from a different manufacturer that worked well and I used it for many years; however, it lacked certain features which the Donner has. Among other things the Donner has a large brightly illuminated LCD which was the main drawback on my other tuner. The old one had an LCD that did not light up and was difficult to read unless you looked directly at it from a close distance.

Our third electronic metronome – The last two broke but it wasn’t the fault of the company. My daughter drops them off of her music stand. This at least allowed me to try a new one as this one also does tuning. She has been playing violin for a few years now and she said she liked it a lot better than the others. She said it is accurate but she prefers tuning herself without one but it is still nice as a backup. We bought it specifically for the metronome feature.
