Fun beginner set for kids – Super cute little musical instrument set. The storage box is great, and I love the bright pink colors!!! I wish the harmonica was metal, but it works well, and my kids are having a blast with it. The recorder is nice quality, and produces a nice sound as well. The tambourine is definitely more suited for children because of the size, but it’s really fun and easy to use. This is a great addition to our musical instruments, and would make a nice gift as well.

Surprisingly good musical instruments – I was lucky that this set of musical instruments has 3 different instruments otherwise my 3 daughters would’ve fought over playing with this. The instruments are fun and easy for little children to start using. The recorder and harmonica are both well made and play clear notes.

Good gift set – This set comes well packaged in a festive box. Inside the instruments are safely placed in foam. The flute comes in 2 pieces that are easy to assemble. The harmonica sounds nice. I am sure we will find use for the tambourine. It’s a very nice gift for young aspiring musicians. My daughter was really excited to receive it. Everything seems to be made of quality plastic and metal.

harmonica sounds like a real instrument; the ssssssssssrecorder not so much – I draw on my extensive musical background for writing this review. Yes, when I had more time on my hands (pre-children) I played harmonica and would wow visitors with my rendition of Oh Susanna. (Always Oh Susanna, I didn’t know any other song.) I also played a little recorder in my hippie days. From what I can tell, this harmonica sounds like an instrument, not a toy. Or maybe I just did an exceptional job playing Oh Susanna. The recorder, on the other hand, I could not get a good tone from. It squawked and couldn’t decide on an octave. Then again, I couldn’t decide if I was playing “Good King Wenceslas” or “The Bluebells of Scotland,” which may have had an impact on the overall quality.

High Quality Plastic + Sound, Big Step Up From Usual Kid Instruments – We picked this up for our daughter for Christmas this year trying to get ahead of the game. She’s showing a growing interest in music and we want to attempt to provide as much access to ‘real’ instruments as we can afford on a budget.

Perfect for the budding rock star, and fun for all the family – These ABS plastic instruments are a perfect introduction to music making for your little musician, and at the same time they are suitably sized to be fun for all the family.
