Doesnt sound like the real drums – The sound of these drums is not quite right so if you’re expecting something that sounds like the drum parts that u you know u might want to pick another one but there are a few fun settings. And it is a drum set great probably for kids. The volume control when it comes on it is on the highest volume so you have to turn it down before you start playing it gets pretty loud

A good value for the price! – I don’t formally know how to play the drums. This kit, however, has seemed pretty darn good for a beginner. It’s very easy to set up, there are no batteries (a problem I had with a similar product), and it’s cordless and rechargable with a usb cord. (You can plug it into the wall using a usb adapter for a standard smart phone.) It also charges quickly–in about an hour.

fun toy – We charged the drum set before wrapping it so it could be used right out of the box for my 10 year old grandson’s birthday. He loved it and has been playing with it, especially the cymbols, all day. The charge lasted for 2 days, so not bad. The headphone option is really nice so the rest of the family doesn’t have to listen to it all the time.

Great for beginners – While I love the product it makes a weird humming noise after being on for about 1 minute without hitting any of the pads. Aside from that amazing for beginners!

Not great If trying to learn to play for real – It’s a cute design, and I got this for myself actually, just as a way to relieve stress from work. Maybe a way to let off steam after dealing with rude customers. I decided to go with this over real drums out of consideration for my neighbor, but I don’t like how the drum pad isn’t as sensitive as I’d hoped—you have to smash down pretty hard for consistent sound. Whenever a sound doesn’t happen it throws me off and I can’t get into a rhythm to play. I want to let off some aggression, but this takes it to a whole new level! I’m afraid if I get used to this set I may break through real drums if I ever dare to get them. This would be cute for a child I guess, just not for my purposes.

No way to turn off the lights, and makes a shrill high pitched sound… – No way to turn off the lights, and makes a shrill high pitched sound when recording or using headphones. This annoying sound is about half the volume of the beat you’re recording. The lights are obnoxious mainly because you can’t shut them off. That said, not a bad kit for a young child, provided they don’t have a seizure disorder (because of the flashing lights).

I regret this purchase!!!!!!!! lol. I have a 9 year old. Help!! – My sons big into music! Wants to get into Drums. So we got him this to see if he would enjoy doing it. Of course it’s not the same. His Grandmother got him a keyboard and He has a couple stringed instruments as well. He’s been in his room everyday making beats. All of them trying to practice then makes recording of his beats. He loves this thing.
