louder than other electronic metronomes, but minimal features – Learning to play in time is one of the most important skills for musicians to practice, especially if they want to play with other people. There are free metronome apps that you can run on your smartphone or in your web browser. Amazon also sells lots of other electronic metronome devices. Some of these other metronomes are cheaper than this one. Some have more features than this one. Some are smaller than this one. Actually, this is the largest electronic metronome that I have tried. Where this one wins against all the others is that because of its size, it has a bigger louder speaker than any of the others. If your current metronome is so quiet that you cannot hear it without plugging in an earphone or external speakers, then this one may work for you. It is not super loud though, so amplified instruments will probably still be louder.

A Great Addition To My MIDI Equipment – When I first saw this little metronome, I snobbishly told myself that I would NEVER be disloyal to my old, original, mechanical metronome. But, as I thought about it, I realized that I could never be certain that I put the little slide in the right place on my metronome, or that, even if I did place it accurately, that it was going to be accurate across its entire range. This little electronic helper fills a gap that I did not realize existed, at least not until I tried it.

Not bad, good sounds and variety of settings…. – I like this metronome for its size and its loudness, you can clearly hear the click and beat, and you can set for any resolution or beat and temp you might need, it has easy controls and is rechargeable, and lasts a long time per charge. It comes with a cute sticker pack too 🙂

  4. T. M (verified owner)

Basic, but functional – My grandson has taken up the violin, along with an interest in starting the saxophone as well. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly he picked up reading music and keeping Rythm. When I had the opportunity to try this, I thought why not.

Great metronome – Super great little metronome! It has a timer, and it’s pretty easy to use. Sound is very loud, but you can’t change the beep noise. Otherwise, super cute and easy to use.

This is not the sound to make music to.. –  Ugh, where to start with this metronome…. Well, I can safely say that is IS pretty accurate at keeping to a time signature. But that’s about the only positive thing I have found with this product. So far as I can tell, there are only two options for what sound is keeping the rhythm….and both of them are way too distracting from the music I’m supposed to be making. Maybe it’s just my personal preference for wood or ticking (something more subtle), but the options sound very chintzy and low quality. I would really appreciate having more natural sounds to choose from, but then I suppose this was never meant to be marketed to adults (comes with 2 sheets of cartoon stickers – cute though).

It keeps time, but the sounds it makes are a little grating. –  EX Rechargeable Digital Metronome Designed for Kids and Students, Suitable for All Instruments, Guitar, Bass, Violin, Ukulele, For Sweet But Serious Music Training
