I can rock again! – Was at the end of an epic solo when I stumbled an fell into my amp an broke the input Jack… I thought my fender frontman was destroyed forever… found this part soldered it in and I’m back!

It is same as the original. – It is the same & fit my Fender Frontman 15G. I had actually had the jack input replaced once by technician, and I had fixed once myself. But not long, same problem comes again. This time I bought 2ea just in case it needs repaired again. But however this time I couldn’t fix it since I had overheated the circuit board. Overall, the plate inside is too cheap, they should use a much more metal instead.

fender repair parts – Fender input jack, consistant problem with blues deluxe and hot rod amps, hasn’t been improoveed at all in 10 years although it is aknowleged that they cannot take daily strain. users: always use an angle guitar cord plugged into the amplifier end to avoid “sideload” on these plastic encased units. when being replaced, a solder sucker must be employed, if you don’t have access to one do not attempt to replace them. Take care as not to overheat any of the 4 solder points on the pc board or you may ruin the pc board and then the entire amp becomes worthless. The problem with this design is that the input jacks should have been hand wired not directly soldered to the pc board, allowing some strain relief, because the jack solder tabs are soldered directly to the pc board, any movement at the input jack such as “pulling” on the cord, any weight set on top of the top of the amp, etc transmits a mechanical load to the pc board and the solder points. They are then vulnerable ! Once installed, be sure to tighten the threaded nut firmly against the faceplate on the amp,and don’t neglect the washer! this is the only rigidity point that will aid in this problem. And do not over tighten! this may strip the plastic threads (again another weak link). also these parts took way longer than Amazon said they would take to get.

A perfect Fender factory replacement part! – For 20 years my Fender BXR300 only had one working jack… not any more baby! PERFECT FIT! I Couldn’t be happier! Do yourself a favor and order a solder sucker for a few bucks and you will save yourself the trouble of cleaning the solder out of the holes. Takes longer to reassemble than to swap out.

Fixed my broken amp, 20+ years later – In the late 1980’s I bought the hot new amp from Fender, a Super 60, all tube combo with a 12″ speaker and 60 watts of tube goodness.
