Fender Sound, fender feel – These are the only strings I put on my 74 Jazz Bass.
Rated 5 out of 5

Silky smooth! – First thing I noticed when I stringed my p bass with these strings is how smooth they feel to the hands. They have a mostly warm tone but once you pick by the bridge or slap the strings it helps bring out the high ends if you’re looking for a bright sounding music. Pick by the neck or the body and it sounds vintage if you’re looking for that. Excellent if you’re gonna do heavy metal due to the bite these strings have. Would recommend to anyone.

Good bang for the buck – Decent set of strings. Not really an improvement compared to the set I was using before (DR lo-rider) but they were significantly cheaper. Good bang for the buck.

Fat sound – Based on suggestions I found on the net, I tried these strings to fatten the tone of my Jazz Bass. While most round-wound bass strings tend to be bright and zingy, these strings had a richer midrange and solid lows. Tension was good as well, and surprisingly taut for medium-light gauge—I was able to maintain a low string height without much fret clatter. Easy on the fingers as well. I give them 4 stars (instead of 5) as want to keep my favorite strings, Ernie Ball Group III, at the top of my list. Recommended!
