Rough around the edges – This set came in a tightly packaged wrapping. The edges are rougher than I would like. You can tell where the rough edges are because light reflects on it. That said, I would use these with older children. The sound is crisp and nice. The elastic used to hold to your fingers is nice for my fingers. It will slide out of the hole if someone pulls on the knot on the other side. For beginners I think this is a decent set that people can have fun with.

Fun set – These are a great little set of finger symbols I got them for my daughter to play with with her friends because they just have fun with them they’re obviously for belly dancing but they are very fun for kids to play with as well they’re not super loud but they can make a variety of noises with them depending on if they clean them together with their fingers or if they pass them by one another if they put them on top of things or under things they make all different variations of sound so they’re pretty fun set Great value the price could not be better.

NOT GOOD FOR TODDLERS. – I bought them for Music Time with my grandchildren. Elastic that goes over the finger is not secured with a grommet. Several have slipped through easily—CHOKING HAZARD FOR TODDLERS!

Two tones in one package – REALLY like that these Zills come, not just with two colors, but with two tones and they ring with a nice clear sound. I ordered them to use for songs, storytelling, meditation/prayer alone and in group events. The gold is a higher tone than the silver. Just remember to remove the blue tarnish repellent plastic from the silver ones before using or you’ll thing something’s wrong. One slight con: unlike my other zills, these do not have a metal piece through the hole for the elastic to tie around. Use caution so you don’t lose the elastic or fashion your own with a knot on top as well, in such a way that the tone is not impeded.
