Great holiday classics! – Gave it to a friend as she started learning the uke and she loves it!

We like it, but… – We played through several of the songs last night – Monday night is ukulele night at our house. My wife is a beginner and prefers songs with fewer (and simpler) chords. So I just have to ask, should a First 50 songbook really have chords like Em6, G#dim7, Ab+, and Abdim7? Sure, the chord example is displayed, but these songs aren’t composed of simple chords.

Excellent selection of Christmas songs. Top notch arrangements! – I own a few Hal Leonard christmas ukulele books. this is the best one. this is perfect for sitting around the fire with your family and strumming their favorite christmas songs. the arrangements for these songs are not complicated and if you know 5 or 6 chords, most of these songs can be sight read. definitely for the beginner and intermediate crowd. I actually bought this to help me teach my 6 year old to play. with only 2-3 different chords per song she will be playing along with me in no time!

Must have collection of melodies – This is a great book if you need just the melody and the chords. You’re gonna need to make your own strum rhythms. The variety of songs is wonderful, though, and it includes some of the more modern songs. I really like this book. I would like to see some tabs for the notation, but that is just because I’m lazy.
