Beautiful and smooth in function. – I have used these under a couple of different brand names. The Golden Gate name seems to carry on the quality of previous iterations which, I believe, all have been made by the Der Jong (sp) company. Wherever they are from, they are apparently identical and of good quality and function.

Decent quality and looks good – Pictures are accurate to what the tuners look like in real life, after a few months they still are very smooth and easy to turn, but still tight and don’t allow much play. Tuner gears were pre-oiled which was nice. Easy to install just insert them into guitar, mark the holes and drill.

Very nice and good quality upgrade set of tuners for medium priced classical guitars – Very nice and good quality set of tuners for classical guitar. I had my luthier put a set of these on my classical and he was impressed with the quality and they do work very well as opposed to the really poor tuners that the big brand name company used on a $700.00 insturment. The holes in the head had to be drilled out a just a small fraction for the black string rollers to move easily but that was not a fault with these tuners. Nice smooth 18 to 1 gear ratio and holds tunning well.

Excellent tuner – I replaced the tuner in my Cordoba with this and it is amazing. The 18:1 ratio allows delicate fine tuning.One of the pegs was a little tight so I had to file the hole in my headstock to widen it just a little bit. It is not a problem with this tuner but it was how the guitar was originally built to fit the original tuner.

I would recommend this product – Overall this is higher quality than the price would suggest. The tuners are ebony, and the brass is solid. I took one star away because one of the tuners had a little too much friction. I would recommend this product. I installed on a Pilarte hand made guitar. Great upgrade!
