Worth every penny! – I’m retired and being “safe at home” doesn’t give many exciting adventures. When I saw an ad for a Kalimba, I decided to indulge myself. I was disappointed with the enclosed “how to” and it took me a while to figure out the tones didn’t go in ascending order like a piano. They went left, right, left, right, etc. The notation on the enclosed information was confusing until I realized it was like a music staff, but printed sidewise to resemble the Kalimba. I am so glad that I ordered one of the songbooks at the same time. It has not arrived yet, but I am looking forward to a “normal” staff and clearer teaching methods. The quality of the Kalimba is excellent and the sound is great. I am sure I will enjoy it as I learn to really play it instead of just plunking random notes–but that’s pretty fun and soothing sounding too.
