Untuned but cute – While decent quality this Kalimba came completely untuned. Thank goodness I knew how to tune it myself ir it would have been useless. I’m not sure if it got knocked around during shipping, but I’ve never had an issue with a Kalimba I ordered being as untuned as this one on arrival.

Very nice introductory Kalimba – My son likes different, odd musical instruments, and mentioned this to me as a possible Xmas gift. I chose this set because the price was great and has some accessories. I was very pleased when I unpacked it. The case it comes with is very nice and sturdy. The Kalimba is lovely and looks well made. I haven’t played it. I’ll save that for my son to do when he receives it on the holiday. I would buy again. There are many to choose from so if you’re in doubt, I think you’ll be happy with this one.

Good…but – I was super excited when my kalimba came in the mail, but sadly it was defected. The kalimba came with an extra key instead of the key it was supposed to have. In the picture you can see that there is two of the 1 key, one of them is supposed to be a 2 key. Even though it’s a minor mistake, it will take effect to when I play a song.

Can’t Stop Playing it! – I love this little thing. I have never owned an instrument, and was looking for something easy to learn with all this extra time on my hands (reviewing from Covid-19 isolation). In a very short time, I’ve learned to play short, simple songs, and even idly plucking the keys is pleasant sounding enough. Very relaxing, and it sounds like a music box. The packaging is very nice, and it comes in a hard case for carrying, with a tuning hammer, cleaning cloth, suide stickers, and thumb guards that I have not used.

My grandma Loves it – I got this for my grandmother who has always loved music, she was going to be in the hospital for a couple weeks following surgery, and I thought this would be a great thing to keep her occupied. She absolutely loves it. She quickly figured out the songs that were included, and has been working out how to play others on it.

kalimba – This is the greatest musical instrument ever for musical dummies like me! I’ve tried to learn so many musical instruments, including all the ones that are supposed to be so easy but I got nowhere. This little kalimba has kept me entertained all day since it arrived this morning and I picked out the tunes to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and When the Saints Go Marching In, and Kumbaya, by myself. I also learned Mama’s Little Baby Loves Shortnin’ Bread from the note numbers I had got online. All in one day. Really it sounds good if all you want to do is play random notes. I’ve done that too. If you’re thinking about this, just buy it. You won’t regret it, and it doesn’t cost much more than a pizza.
