Great for beginners and kids – Easy enough to get started on the basics. I have a background in pitched percussion instruments but nothing like a kalimba, so I’m going in blind just like anyone else. After a few minutes I could put together a few notes that made sense, which is good enough for the time spent.

She hopes to play the full tune at Christmas. The butterfly design is unique, polished wood surface is safe for children. Inexpensive and worth the price. I’m considering to order more kalimba thumb pianos as Christmas gifts to others. Would recommend to others who need to develop children’s hobby in music.
