Cute and portable – The sound does not carry and the straps are dangerous when released since they’re elastic and go shooting away once it is pinched. The pictures were off on the colors. They’re simply flat when the ad pictures make them look a little irridescent.

A super fun little drum! – The Ktak is a unique portable cajon that you can wear and walk around while playing. I ordered the orange color and it is beautiful! The drum sounds really cool, in fact it kind of sounds like it’s name “ktak ktak ktak”. It has a crisp snare tone that is surprisingly loud. I love this versatile little drum that can be worn around the midsection while standing, or strapped around the thighs while sitting. It sounds great with many different kinds of music. So much fun!

great sounding portable cajon – really nice sound for such a tiny drum if you know how to coax it out. the snare and organic wooden sides have very different sounds both of which are pretty amazing. gonna enjoy carrying it around and playing rhythms on the go.

I love it! – A friend of mine demonstrated the Ktak on Darbuka Planet’s website and I was hooked. It is a pricier than other similar mini cajons BUT the others had mixed reviews- the most common complaint was poor craftsmanship. Many complained of split or gaping seams. The Ktak is very well-made. All the seams are tight and clean thereby having good projection via the sound hole.
