Great quality, fun to use. – I am pleased with the quality and sound of this cabasa. I decided to buy one after hearing and trying one out at a jam session. I’m not a professional percussionist but enjoy playing a cajon and other percussion instruments to help set a beat during sessions.

Needs a lock washer to keep it together.. – After about an hour of playing I heard something rattling around inside that sounded like a marble. I removed the handle to open it up and noticed the nut holding the handle bolt to the top came loose and the washer under the top was rattling back and forth while playing. I added a lock washer and problem solved. LP, take note, small improvement, big impact.

Great material, one minor setback. – Great instrument. My only issue with my particular instrument is that everytime I use it that way a cabasa is supposed to be used, the handle starts to unscrew from the head. I dont think Ive had this issue with other cabasas but Im always having to tighten it throughout a song.

This Competes with the Standard Size – When it comes to percussion, trust LP. This Mini-Cabasa is actually very punchy and loud. I ordered the Standard sized one to compete with a drum set, but this one goes fine with small drums, like Bongos, Djembe and Cajon.
