Great recorder, but it is more magenta pink than purple…..buy for a girl not a boy – I thought the price was very reasonable…..the quality in craftsmanship excellent. The one factor stopping me from giving it 5 stars is it was more a magenta pinkish color when it arrived than the purple it appears to be in the pictures. It was for a boy so that factor has me mildly disappointed.

Good value for the price – Ordered this for my son. He is in 5th grade and learning the recorder is part of his curriculum. The sound and tone sound clear, and despite his playing a lot of wrong notes, those notes are crisp and full. There is no hollowness to the sound. There were many colors to choose from, and the recorder came with a cleaning want and a case. I thought this was a great bonus. The only reaason I didn’t go with 5 stars was due to the difficulty in reading and interperting the fingering chart. It was far too complicated for an adultto understand, much less a 10 year old. Other than that, the product is spot on.

Sturier than expected! Great price! – I expected for the low price for this to be flimsy, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this recorder is made of sturdy plastic and of decent quality. Also, being 3 pieces, it is easier to clean than a one-piece. Fits the bill for my 3rd grader’s music class, plus she loves the purple color!

Very good for the price – My daughter (Lauren!) loves the name and the color. The tone is not nearly as rich as from a wooden recorder, and the finger holes can be delicate to hit just right. But for the price it is excellent.

It’s a Cheap Recorder, Nuff Said – Not too much to say about this recorder. It’s actually got quite a good sound for the low price I got it for. You probably won’t get much better until you go much higher in price range.
