Does not work on small-shank trombone mouthpieces – This is too big for a small-shank trombone mouthpiece. The width of the narrow end of the truer is about equivalent to the full width of the mouthpiece shank (metal included), so the truer doesn’t even fit inside a perfectly round mouthpiece opening on a small-shank, let alone a dented one.
