Good tone and plays in tune – It was surprisingly hard to find a chime set that is tuned to a standard western scale. This fits the bill and has a nice tone. It plays the seven notes of a major scale and sounds reasonably in tune to me.

A real CLUNKER -and waste of money and time – After I read the 6 5 star reviews, I thought to myself, maybe this one will be a nice surprise. I could not be more disappointed with the product, had it arrived in little pieces. As you can see AND hear, the sound quality is atrocious, and nowhere close to bing in key/tune. Seriously, don’t waste your money on this thing. I don’t know who posted the 5 star ratings, but I feel in being to purchase this unit, I was mislead on the quality. Overall it seems to be constructed OK, however, if i wanted something to sit on a shelf, I would have gotten a porcelain glass object instead!

Bought for kids – I am not a music expert so not sure if it’s tuned right but it has a nice clear sound that resonates for a long time. Perfect for my toddler to play music on. Very durable.

lovely little instrument for a child but not as resonant as I would like for healing and meditation – The instrument was shipped in a bubble bag the metal rods were scratched a bit, it may have shipped better in a box. The end of the wooden stick used to play the chimes was chipped and rough, It should have bneen sanded smooth. Even though, it sounds very nice and I decided to keep it anyway, the scratches did not interfere with the pitch and it is a nice little instrument for the money. I just wish more attention to packaging and smoothing the end of the stick happened. For the money , it is a good deal so I wont send it back, I will probably sand the end of the stick myself to smooth it a bit. The scratches were fairly superficial and there were no dents. I’d buy this again. I like the sound.
