Loud One is Really Loud, Soft One is Really Soft – Meinl overs these shakers in three “volume” levels (red, black, and silver cases) designated soft, medium, and loud. I have all three.

Exactly as advertised – It’s a great amplified shaker with a nice size fitting for you hand. It does exactly what a normal shaker would do, just more affordable. It’s made with a pretty sturdy plastic and has a nice noise to it. It’s very light and I love the logo that comes on the side.

Easy to handle shaker that cuts through the band – Volume: Much better than the two shaky eggs I’ve used because it’s louder so it can be heard over amplified instruments much better. The sound is surprisingly loud, but not metallic or harsh.

Shake, Shake, Shake, Shake your Shaker – As a massive Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine fan, I went ahead and bought this shaker in case the Miami Sound Machine ever makes a comeback. This way I could practice and be ready to Get On My Feet and Turn the Beat Around in the event the Miami Sound Machine held open tryouts for a shaker. The shaker is very durable, easy to hold and has a nice sound to it ….and the rhythm has in fact got me. My roommate isn’t so thrilled about it but I think he will come around. Anyway, love the shaker – only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish the versatility was a bit better – MORE SOUNDS! Overall, I recommend for anybody who wants to shake things up – see you soon Gloria!
