Nice! – But these for granddaughters age 8 and 9 for Christmas. They quickly learned how to play them. Came very nicely boxed and beautiful wood. Makes a nice little gift. Also bought the music book so they have many songs they can learn to play!

Fun beginner kalimba – Great for kids to learn and try out. I purchased 6 and the kids love them. They are very well made the wood is beautiful, the tines were very nice and seemed to be in tune. The sound is really sweet so when they practice it isn’t annoying. The packaging was an added plus for gifting.

Cute functional Gift Idea, ornament on a tree, hang in your window, or place on shelf – Two mini calymbas in nice little gift boxes. They have a little weight to them, feel very well made, with solid metal parts. I didn’t have a pick, so I found a safety pin to pick on my calymba bars. The safety pin works for struming two bars at the same time. It puts out the best sound, setting flat on a table. Much louder than you would think. If you are holding it in your hand, the sound it softer, so it wont be annoying to parents, for kids to play with these on long car trips. I am very happy with mine. Im trying to find free music to play mine. They have a very simple numbering system, with numbers on each bar.
