Mini kalimba with beautiful carving – This is a beautiful mini 10 key kalimba with a very nice carving on the body of the wood. The price at the time I ordered was just under $15, which is a great price for this lovely musical instrument. This would be a great gift for anyone who loves making their own musical, someone who loves unique gifts or anyone looking to add to their world music-Al instrument collection.

Mine came a little broken but still nice! – One of the keys at the end is loose when I got it and makes a twang sound but my son wanted this to play with. He said he didn’t mind the clang sound nor that it moves. The others don’t move but that end key does. He is just very careful with it. It’s a beautiful instrument and quality is amazing! It’s not annoying to listen to and I can tolerate it on long car rides when he gets bored. It stops the question ” are we there yet?”. Now my teenager just plays with this till we get there. It’s pocket size and he takes it all over. One star loss for that loose key though but thats all!

I thought the bar might be loose but it is as tight as it goes and no amount of trying to tune it with a hammer i have from another kalimba improved it. Tiny, Cool Instrument – I’ve never even heard of Kalimba and this is my first one. I didn’t have to tune it and just start to play around. The size and shape fit right in to your hands. The key symbols on it was hard to read (all just shinny to this old eyes) so I used color sharpie to wrote on it and was easier to see. It sounds so pretty and amusing. Only regret is not getting 17 or 21 keys. I played “Somewhere over the rainbow” and couldn’t get to the lowest note. I’ll give it to my grand child and I’ll get me 21 keys one. P.S : You’ll need to grow thumb nails to play better.
