Very fun. – The Otamatone really is the melodica of digital instruments. This is the kind of instrument you’d hear come on in voice chat in a ranked Valorant match.

Best Instrument – Whoever invented these things is an evil genius. Gotta be the most obnoxious noise ever produced. Absolutely love it. It makes everyone laugh, shortly before it makes them cry. Everybody should have an Otamatone

it’s HUGE – This Otamatone is surprisingly big! I did not expect it to be this big when I ordered it. It comes with an added neck strap for extra support while playing, but it is still fairly light. Compared to the smaller, original version, the sound is of higher quality and feels much fuller. It is also louder with a volume dial compared to a 2-level volume switch. It feels easier to play because this deluxe version is more ergonomic, but the Otamatone on its own is difficult to play without practice and a trained ear. Even if you are not regularly playing, it still serves as a unique decorative piece/conversation starter for guests. Unfortunately, its base is not completely flat so it can be a bit wobbly.

Not worth it. – I bought the Otamatone Deluxe. First thing I noticed is that opening the mouth does not affect the sound. There is a black foam block in the mouth that makes no sense. The vibrato on the fingering is good. Being like a one string instrument it has basically one key. There needs to be markings on the side of the fingerboard for reference. Each instrument will be out of tune with another. It needs a pitch adjuster. I waited too long to open it so no return. Could have bought a nice Ukulele for $180.00. Folks: Ukulele is the easiest and very fun to play. Even for young kids. Lots of online support for Ukes.
