      Too big – The small end was too large to fit in the f-hole of my cello. It would fit if I forced it, but doing so I risk cracking the top or having the end of it fall off into the instrument.

      Works well – I bought this for my hollow body Jazz box guitar. I know it is intended for a cello, yet I thought it a good size for my application. In hind sight, the next smaller size would have been sufficient. I have used similar products in the past for both my cello and violin. Only caution I would give is to be sure to dry the exterior of the product and use only distilled water if at all possible. If you do that it should last for years to come.

      Nice Humidifier – I have this plugged into a 1962 Kay acoustic guitar. It keeps that big bodied guitar moist during the driest months, and holds a lot of water, only needing to be refilled weekly. Good product!

      I use them on my double strung harp – I live in the desert and the walnut under my tuning keys was drying out so the notes would slip. I had to get some moisture there. I bought two of these humidifiers and just set them along the tuners. They don’t drip and seem to be helping a lot with the dry wood problem. I highly recommend these for any musical instrument.
