Its good for kids – Its good for kids, yes. But for playing more than 1-2 notes, maybe not the best. I ended up getting another plastic one that could play more notes. I’m glad I got it though. I had read the other reviews and it was kind of what I expected.

Solid wood recorder – Perfect for budding musicians . Both her sisters (twins) each have one, so she wanted one too, she loves it. I love that it’s all wood. Wonderful.

I had originally ordered one for my younger granddaughter but the one I ordered for myself I gave to her older sister who feels I spend too much on her and her sister so she never asked for one. The older one plays in the school band and plays several instruments so she was able to give her younger sister some pointers so she was able to play a few simple songs right away. Thank you.
