Cool carrying case – I have seen videos of steel tongue drums online, and I wanted one because they sound so harmonic and relaxing. They are also supposed to be good for beginners to play around with, so I thought my musical son would enjoy it too (Spoiler alert: he does).

Not good at all – The best thing about this is the carrying case. This “instrument” isn’t tuned at all and every tongue sounds exactly the same. Not to mention it’s much much smaller than at the advertised images. Just beware if you’re going to buy this don’t expect to do too much with it other than a paperweight

Love this – Great quality, steel tongue drum. I use this on occasion and it sounds great. Very good sound quality and easy to use. Has 8 notes, so I can play multiple varieties of tunes. Super low price for the value and makes a great gift idea. Highly recommend.

Alright sound for the price – Got this drum as a smaller practice companion for a larger tongue drum, and my expectations weren’t high seeing the price; but upon arrival it worked as advertised, which is to say a bit more of a toy than a serious instrument.

A good place to start on a budget – Comes with everything you need to start. The numbers were not placed correctly according to the music book but that was a simple fix because they include another set of numbers. The biggest issue is that the higher notes sound muted, they do not resonate, sound like a thud. Also, I tried playing Happy Birthday from the book and noticed the notes in the booklet do not line up with the tones of the drum when played. If you are not tone deaf then you should be able to identify the correct ones and correct the mistakes in the booklet. Otherwise, it is a good beginner drum to practice tuning and playing.
