I like the unit but the one I received was damaged – The gold imprinting on the scale was rubbed off above the 60 bpm. Can’t read anything above that. The price is too high for what you get even though Rob recommends it. It looks cheap however the sound is not annoying like the others I’ve tried. I want to return this one and get a replacement but they’re out of the same color I received.

I needed one – I gave five stars because the unit is excellent and looks great. I have one small caveat, I need to measure smaller increments of BPM. If I want to go from 60 to 70 BPM, this works great. If I need 60 to 62 BPM, it’s a lot more difficult to use. That’s on me. I guess I need a digital unit. Nothing wrong with THIS one.

Great Quality! – My son recently started piano and had his first recital. As a reward, we got him this metronome. It is very good quality, beautiful wood. He is very proud of it and wants anyone who comes over to see it and how it works, which incidentally, is wonderful!

Works well! – We use this metronome for daily piano piano practice and it works well. There’s just something cool about a mechanical metronome that we really like. This metronome looks nice but it’s made of plastic and feels a bit cheap when handled. However, I will say it’s a great value for the low cost.

Definitely Plastic! – it is the cheap type of plastic–no resemblance to veneer whatsoever. i’d recommend the lower cost alternatives on amazon. i’m only keeping this one because i’m looking for white.
