An epic undertaking! Want scores of your fav bands released? Buy it so publishers see the demand out there for scores. – I don’t think all reviewers have given this book a fair shake. There are over 1200 pages of scores to work through and examine. It will take me sometime to get through it all and give a better review. I agree with everyone that the print size and format is not convenient for most musicians. If they were aiming for that it would have been 12-20 volumes and upwards of $700. You have to accept that with a huge undertaking like this. You have to do some extra work on your own particularly if you are working with students or a group. Photocopy and enlarge the scores you are working with. Import into an app like forScore.

Easy to break apart – I just received this book and as I was forewarned by reading the reviews it is of small typeface and page size. However, I was pleased at how easy it was to break down. The book itself is hard bound and comes with a cardboard cover box that it slides into. So it looks very nice. I found that carefully using a single edged razor blade I could cut away the hardcover of the book very easily with the front and back covers and the spine intact. Then I set to work on the book itself and found that there are about 30 different book sections that are stitched and glued together in sequence. It was not hard to detach each section. So I was left with 30 sections each containing a certain number of songs which I could easily flatten out either to set on the piano and work off of or scan and reprint to a larger size. This took only about a half an hour for me to do. With the front and back covers and the spine still together, I could then take the 30 sections and put them back loosely in the hardcover in the correct order, with now-looseleaf book fitting nicely into the box. On the bookshelf, nobody will know or care about this alteration. In fact, this is what every piano player should do in order to make this book practical.

Worth every penny! – This book is fantastic! From what I can tell, the transcriptions are near perfect, and easy to read. I don’t get the complaints about the text being too small, it perfectly fine to me. This is a must have for any musical Beatles lover!
