But of course you can draw out the upper octaves using hard wood verses the soft moleskin mallet side of the hammer, etc. Anyway this thing has great tone, decent decay, and I really was pleasantly surprised. I expected to have to drive up to Ashville, NC to find some legit bowls…but this one does the trick.
