Tuning Fork Hit a Sour Note – I am an elementary music teacher and purchased this tuning fork to use for an activity with 1st grade students about sound and vibrations. Unfortunately it broke while trying to use it. Then I had a class full of sad first graders.

Not A 440 – This tuning fork isn’t tuned to A 440. Maybe I just got a defective one? Not sure, but it’s between A and A#. Good for microtonal tuning, I guess, if that’s your thing. Oh well. Not worth returning since it was only 5 bucks and change.

Sharp from A-440 – I should have read the bad reviews but who would expect a new tuning fork to be out of tune? I checked it against several accurate elect. tuners and they all registered it the same amount sharp and not by a small amount. It’s enough to hear. I returned it and will get a quality fork.
