After 3 months, it quit working – My daughter uses this flute for band, so it sees a lot of use. To be fair, It is pretty hard to say if the problem we encountered is a defect in the flute, due to a lot of use, or my daughter not taking proper care of it.

Solid student flute – As a repair person, with approximately 250 of these in our rental stock, selling tons of them to school programs and with 6 years of experience with this instrument… This is a seriously solid flute. The metal is hard and robust, the silver-plating is thick and clean, the solder connections and posts are strong, the pads are well seated and centered and the springs are all excellent. Yamaha has done an amazing job at building a production line that just happens to be in China. These horns work right out of the case and will not hold your student back in any way.

Wonderful flute! – My daughter is just starting lessons so I took a chance in ordering this flute based on reviews I read in regard to this seller. I was not disappointed!! It arrived very quickly and in perfect condition just as indicated. The pads are in perfect condition and the flute looks like new! My 10 year old daughter loves her new flute!!! Her teacher agreed that this Yamaha flute was a great investment and superior choice as compared to the student model that the school has.
