Great for new players and those wishing to expand their music playing – Nice fast delivery. They did what I wanted. Nuf said.

Joy – I purchased this back in the wistful days of 2019. Applying decades of classical music training, I was able to get good sound and get by melodically from my first playing. My 2 year old god-daughter discovered it at Christmas, blew on it loudly and piercingly exclaiming ‘I make noise!’ with so much joy. Sadly, the recorder was misplaced shortly thereafter. Luckily it was re-discovered the next day and it is now kept in a place of honor (on a high shelf).

Great Intermediate Recorder – This is my first recorder that I’ve bought. I recently acquired in interest in baroque music, especially after hearing some of Telemann’s music, so I thought I’d give it a try. The only kind of experience I really have with woodwinds is the clarinet and flute, but I suppose its better than starting off blind.

Great recorder even for beginners – I did a lot of research before buying as I am a beginner. I did take recorder in school 45 years ago, but never got past 1octave.

Looks great – The recorder is an excellent instrument, and sounds nice. It is easy to practice with. Recommend

Excellent low cost instrument – For beginners, you can get a $9-$10 dollar recorder of decent quality to see if they like it or not. I would recommend this for a more established player. Great instrument for the price. I couldn’t afford to put hundreds of dollars in “nice” recorder, but I could swing $30 bucks or so. Play for fun, so didn’t need top shelf. Yamaha makes good stuff, Iike this. Also have other Yamaha flutes, fifes, and recorders. If they weren’t any good, I would only have ONE Yamaha instrument, not several. They are plastic/PVC, so don’t have the warmth (or cost $$$) of a wooden instrument, but this is totally fine for most people. Play for philharmonic? You may want something more, but for the rest of us, this is a deal!!
