Not worth it if you want an ocean drum… – This is a beautiful drum. However, when playing the sound of the beads crashing is distracting from the sound of them rolling (what sounds like waves crashing). If I could do it over again I’d buy one of better quality. This one serves as decoration only.

Didn’t know how much the sound would change based on the size of ocean drum – I had been wanting an ocean drum for awhile as I had used a larger one that belonged to someone else for soound healing. I was not aware that the size of the drum would affect the sound as much as it does. The smaller drum sounds more like pouring rain then the calming ocean waves I was expecting.
